WHEREAS, First District Democrats believe that sufficiently funded public education is a critical
public good which undergirds equal opportunity and a democracy, and

WHEREAS, every child deserves a world-class education in a safe and supportive environment,
and

WHEREAS, additional local funding is needed to support additional staffing, learning,
enrichment programs, special-education services, and other student-support services, particular
to its school district, and

WHEREAS, Edmonds School District has informed First District Democrats about its
Educational Programs and Operations Levy, which will be proposed on the February 8, 2022,
Special Election ballot.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that First District Democrats endorse the YES/APPROVE
position in the February 8, 2022, election for the Programs and Operations Levy put forward by
the Edmonds School District, and will publish its support for this levy, and

FINALLY, BE IT RESOLVED that First Legislative District Democrats encourages its
members to speak out and campaign for the Edmonds School District Levy.
