Ended the Bush-era "gag rule" on abortion
Phased out the F-22 and other unnecessary high-tech military gadgetry
Provided new federal funding for science and research labs
Appointed a Special Envoy for Climate Change
Charged the EPA to begin regulating carbon dioxide emissions
Increased minority access to capital
Implemented aggressive efficiency standards for household appliances
Made the executive branch actually start responding to FOIA requests
Passed credit card reform
Established a White House Council on Women and Girls
Made US policy unambiguously anti-torture
Saved the U.S. auto industry
Reengaged in the treaties/agreements to protect the Antarctic
Purchased a fuel efficient fleet of vehicles for the federal government
Provided affordable, high-quality child care to working families
Increased funding for student loans and Pell grants
Included Tuition Tax Credits for higher education
Provided a tax credit to workers (95% of American working families)
Cracked down on abuse of the "independent contractor" classification
Appointed the first Special Assistant to the President for Disability Policy
Redirected TARP money to programs at local housing finance agencies
Protected 300,000 education jobs with the stimulus bill
Extended COBRA health coverage from 9 to 15 months
Extended unemployment benefits (doggedly, against unified GOP obstruction)
Eliminated federal funding for abstinence-only sex education
Appointed the most diverse Cabinet in history
Provided tax credits to first-time home buyers
Strengthened the Endangered Species Act
Increased funding for national parks and forests
Funded the Labor Department to provide green job training to veterans
Repealed the Military's Policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
